Paul Sullivan

Managing Director

With responsibility for the East Coast, Paul’s primary focus is the professional support of Sanctuary’s partner firms, as well as attracting new advisors to the network. As a devout advocate for financial advisor independence, he also represents our firm in the New York City tri-state market, helping veteran advisors and their teams identify a “new beginning” through the autonomy of building their own firm to best care for the unique needs of their clients. Prior to Sanctuary Wealth, Paul worked at Merrill Lynch for 34 years. He was the managing director and market executive of Merrill’s flagship office, SD Financial, headquartered in Manhattan and also managed Merrill’s Brooklyn and Staten Island offices. In addition, Paul was responsible for the wealth management in twenty-five banking centers of Bank of America, Merrill’s parent company.

Paul strongly values professionalism, work ethic and integrity. The "Financial Advisor Model" is vital to present-day Americans. Aging individuals and couples, under-funded pension plans, uncertain economic times and a volatile stock market are just a few of the reasons sage financial advice is critical to the achievement of one's goals. He is 100% committed to financial advisors who champion holistic financial planning, time-tested investment methodology, performance metrics and, ultimately, the achievement of client outcomes.
